On The Media's broadcast from this week is really great. Looking at the media & social response to the VT shootings. It gives a profound prospective of our place in the media world.
Ratings vs. Reputation
NBC News’s decision to broadcast Cho Seung-Hui’s final message earned the network major ratings, and a heap of criticism. But you had to look north of the border to find a major news outlet that didn’t follow NBC’s lead. CBC editor in chief Tony Burman explains why the CBC left the manifesto alone.
Dan: i;ve had two rockstars, two diet cokes and a cup of coffee today
Dan: and for the record
Dan: nobody drinks rockstar to party like a rockstar
Dan: if i wanted to party like a rockstar i would lick whiskey off of a strippers tits
BAGHDAD - Suspected Sunni insurgents penetrated the Baghdad security net Wednesday, hitting Shiite targets with four bomb attacks that killed 183 people - the bloodiest day since the U.S. troop increase began nine weeks ago.
That's Baghdad only, not for all of Iraq.
16 lbs of roast beef + 1 Dozen doughnuts = crazy delicious.

Harper's Magazine got an amazing face lift. For subscribers it now offeres every issue ever published, all the way back to No. 1 Vol 1 - June 1850. I highly highly recommend subscribing to this magazine.
Facebook also got an update to a more AJAXy interface. I like it. I also found out last night that The Advocate also got a much needed redesign recently. I mean my old design was kick-ass but so web 1.0.
I recently acquired a copy of Sometimes I Rhyme Slow and damn, is it good. I'd had a few tracks previously but this album is solid. If you enjoyed The Grey Album and A Night At the Hop-Hopera you'll love this joint too. I feel like I should be on BET when I say "this joint".
This episode: A Blended IT Infrastructure.
Joost™ beta .9 was just released. Let me know if you need an invite, I've got a few left. It's a vast improvement over beta .8 with much more content. Finally something more than old episodes of World's Strongest Man.

Having been there last year for the Lebson wedding I can say that this is spot-on. Someone had way too much time on their hands.
